LONG JAPANESE MINO SCHOOL KOTO TACHI.
Blade length 61cms, overall length 93cms. The blade is generally good, semi straight hamon, some minor scuffs. Very attractive iron open framed tsuba with raised gold decoration. Fuchi and kashira both matching with gold edging. The Same having one crack and one small piece missing to the upper part of the hilt. Menuki attractive. The tang is signed ‘Kanemitsu’ who worked between 1450 and 1500. Saya good, in deep plum.
