A very fine example of a large size German Signalís Section four pocket deep barreled cuff combat tunic. Constructed in the issue quality material. Standard configuration of four patch pockets all with pleats. Deep barrel cuffs. Six button front. Dark green collar, fitted with a set of the heavily wire woven officers collar patches, which do have some oxidisation and slight thinning of the weave at the top corners of each patch. To each shoulder originally fitted lemon yellow wool based subdued outer material shoulder boards with one gilt rank pip each board indicating the rank of Oberleutnant. Loop for one award fitted to the upper left hand pocket pleat. Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon fitted to the second button hole. A fine quality officers wire woven breast eagle to the upper right hand breast as the tunic is worn. Mid green brushed cotton interior lining with a hole tailored in the lower left hand section of the front skirt to fit the dagger or sword hanging strap through. Three buttons fitted to the upper inner collar for the attachment of the white inner collar when used. This is a fine quality tunic with excellent nap to the cloth and no moth on any part of the tunic.
