GERMAN THIRD REICH GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL'S DAGGER.
A most superb Government Official's dagger having a virtually mint blade by Alcoso of Solingen. All of the cross grain finish remaining. Totally non abused. Slight markings on both flat sections of the blade where they have rubbed against the scabbard internal retaining brass bands. All of the nickel finish to the hilt, cross guard and scabbard all match exactly. There is no bubbling to any of the plating as is quite a common occurrence with this model of dagger. Very minor abrasions to each side of the scabbard. Beautiful detail to the central upswept winged diplomatic style eagle. One central screw on the reverse side of the upper scabbard in its correct plate. The mother of pearl grips absolutely superb and have not faded with age, as again is a common occurrence. The dagger has been taken apart at some stage in its life, scratch marks around the double hole fixing screw in the eagle's head. A beautiful example of this scarce dagger.
