GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE BLUE TROPICAL TUNIC.

The Luftwaffe blue combat uniform in tropical drill material is extremely rare, the most commonly encountered Luftwaffe tropical tunic is in their own unique colour of light tan tropical cloth, also produced for the Luftwaffe was a full range of uniform equipment matching in blue to this blue tunic and the webbing equipment is like the tunic very rare and subsequently very expensive. This is a medium size Luftwaffe tropical tunic in blue, it has been washed and is faded in places. There is wear to the lower cuffs, one nick to the cloth on the left hand shoulder and some wear nicks to the collar. It is complete with its original cross hatch stitched enlisted ranks eagle. Loops to the breast and above the pocket flap for one award and one medal ribbon bar. All of the original removable buttons are present. The tunic has all of its original Luftwaffe acceptance stamp markings visible to the inside armpit where it is marked 'L.B.A.3' with what appears to be '41' plus the sizes for the tunic. It is a medium size tunic and is fitted with its original matching set of yellow based flight section leutnant's slip-on shoulder boards. A good example of this tunic is shown on page 72 in the Robert Kurz book on tropical uniforms.
