A mid to late Victorian sabretache to an officer in the 14th King's Hussars. Gilt lace good with all embroidery complete, without any moth damage to the red field. Some dullness to the embroidered weave to the central panel with one moth nip between the left hand leg and the body of the lower central Dragoon eagle. The blue material behind the Battle Honours has degraded somewhat. There are 11 Battle Honours to the scroll work at the base of the sabretache which includes Douro, Talavera, Funtes d'Onor, Salamanca, Vittoria, Pyrenees, Orthes, Peninsular, Googerat, Punjaub, Persia. Some fraying to the velvet to each side of the crown. Complete with its mid tan backing leather and message pouch, to the inside of the message pouch complete with paper label to the well known accoutrement makers of Hamberger & Rogers, Gold Lace and Army Accoutrement Manufacturers, By Appointment to the Queen.'
